Five Stars! I really cannot speak more highly of Sani Dental Group in Los Algodones. Allow me to explain: I had gone to the Diasti SmileCare "clinic" in Hayward, California a few months prior ? as a new customer. I had x-rays done and was examined by a dentist and a dental hygienist. I was told that my teeth were in "really bad condition" and needed a deep cleaning and sooner rather than later. In fact, the dental hygienist in Hayward told me that my teeth were, "?so bad that it would be unprofessional [for them] to do any cleaning whatsoever short of a deep cleaning." They then quoted me a deep cleaning at around $800 and recommended getting it done ASAP. They pointed out that their clinic would be so kind as to accept payments as a courtesy to me and to "help me out." Also, the dentist at Diasti SmileCare made some completely unprofessional and inaccurate comments about some medication I was on, displaying a thorough lack of knowledge about something completely out of her area of expertise. So, there were 2 major red flags that something was very amiss with Diasti SmileCare. And the comment about my "bad teeth" was the strangest of all and completely at odds with everything I have been told in the past about my teeth being in very good to excellent condition at any/all previous dental visits. In fact, I have only had 1 very minor pit filled in for my teeth during my 53 years on this planet. So I did some research and decided to try Sani Dental in Los Algodones. A deep cleaning there is $60 per quadrant or $240 for the whole mouth. That is already a savings of 70%! Making an appointment with Sani was very easy and the facility is right over the border. The clinic is very modern, clean and air conditioned. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, assuring, and extremely helpful. I was told that x-rays were recommended and I had panoramic x-rays performed at Sani for $60. The dentist?s assessment was free and the dentist at Sani examined my x-rays with me and basically asked me, "So who?s been telling you that you need a deep cleaning?" The dentist at Sani told me that my teeth and bone structure looked very good from the x-ray image and the manual examination the dentist then gave me of my gums and teeth revealed my gums looking very healthy with no signs whatsoever of any tooth decay. All of this together confirmed the dentist at Sani?s diagnosis that a deep cleaning was not only unnecessary but would actually do unnecessary damage to my gums by breaking down tissue and destroying the seal that was already in place. A simple cleaning at $35 was recommended. The dental hygienist at Sani told me what I have always been told before, "You?re doing a good job with your front teeth, but try to brush more and work on your molars. Also, floss at least once or, better yet, twice a day." So, not only did the people at Sani Dental Group save my hundreds of dollars, but they also spared me from unnecessary pain and the risk of infection and other complications from a completely needless dental procedure. So would I go back to Sani Dental Group? Yes, in a heartbeat, and I will be doing so for my next teeth cleaning. I will also recommend Sani Dental Group to any and all friends, family and anyone I know who needs any dental care.
